Boston Aquarium

We had planned a road trip to the Boston Aquarium a few months ago and it turned out to be a perfect day to go since the weather in CP was rainy and icky. It was also rainy in Boston but we didn't care since we were inside enjoying the fishes!

If the girls could have jumped into the penguin tank, they would have! The loved seeing them move all around (and they can move pretty fast). Now, if I only remembered what type of penguin this was from the Diego eposide (Go noggin!)

Do you think Ava was enjoying herself...face pressed against the glass to the big tank....she saw sharks, fish and even a 500 lb turtle that we called Franklin all day.

This is how much of the day was spent. They never lost interest.

The trip was a lot of fun. After the aquarium, we checked in the hotel which the girls enjoyed since they finally could crawl around. Then off to a little Irish pub for dinner. Ava ate most of Dave's meal but Belle was so busy watching the other kids at the table across from us that she didn't get much in her tummy. It was like she was too cool to let her mommy fed her in front of the big kids (I'm in trouble). We are looking forward to going back in a few months and trying the Boston Children's Museum.

Note to self and others for future trips:

-Try to book tickets online ahead of time...wait was about 20 minutes in the rain...poor daddy!

-Watch out for parking. Aquarium parking is free apparently but a big secret. So we ended up paying $35 which they would not refund. Then got an overnight parking ticket for another $30. Dave thinks it was all an conspiracy since he is a Yankees fan.

-Wear chest carriers....stroller too big in aquarium. Although then girls couldn't get so close to the glass so have to think about that. The both got a good dose of germs kissing that glass but well worth it to be that close.
