Travers Day Stakes

Uncle Pete and Ava got captured by the Schenectady Gazette cheering for the 1st race at the Traver's Races this year.

Article on front page started like this...
"Ava Pondillo of Clifton Park raised her arms for Gumdrop in the first race at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday. Gumdrop didn't show up-for real. " She saw them walking by, to the paddock" said dad Dave Pondillo of Ava, 2 1/2. "She thought all their names were Gumdrop because she rode a pony named Gumdrop. So she thinks Gumdrop won." Ava wasn't the only racing fan who used her imagination on a sunny, breezy, comfortable Travers Stakes Day.

Summer Camps 2010

The girls have gone to 2 camps this summer. One was Tiny Hands Summer Camp run by Clifton Park in which I also attended with them and the other camp was Tiny Tots which they went alone (big girls!). Above is a photo of their fellow Tiny Hands camp members.

Baby Update-8 months

So here is my almost (days away) 8 month update. My OB went well. She is measuring well and my weight gain is about 23lbs. She is not active much during the day or I don't feel it much since I am running around with the girls but at night gets her soccer ball out, or at least it feels that way, and knocks it all around. At our last U/S she was breech so we are hoping she moves into a head down position by our next one since I do not want to do a c-section after not having to do that with the twins! Overall, this pregnancy has been so stress free! Loving it and can't wait to meet my new girl!

Oh yeah, I have gotten multiple comments about how I must be carrying a boy this time...guess I look all belly although I feel evenly big :)

Quirky Things

Here are some quirky things I want to remember about my lovely almost 2 1/2 year old girls.

Ava likes monkey juice and Isabelle loves dinosaur juice (both are juice and water)

Isabelle has the funniest comments sometimes that put me right in my place like "alright mom", "hold your horses mom" and "stop it mom" all used appropriately at the right time.

Ava's famous line is "It's my choice"

Ava is my dancer for sure. She dances to anything. They both like to dance but Ava is no stop. Ava also is very much into imaginative play and I often hear how the pirates just came and tied her up.

The best of the best though is that they play so well together. I often hear them wake each other up in the morning or ask each other to play together with some toy. Best buddies!

Malta Fun Day

The week after we returned from the Cape, Grandpa Kees and I took the girls to Malta Day in the afternoon and it turned out to be a blast for the kids. Pony rides (Ava rode GumDrop and Isabelle rode Zoey), snow cones and face (well arm) painting made the list! Can't wait till next year!!

Oyster Pond

How much fun can you pack into 1 week? Apparently tons!!

A Dip in the Pond

Ava and her daddy

Ava and Grandma

Belle and Grandma

A little evening fun in the local pond. Grandma and Daddy were daring enough to go in the pond with the girls. Isabelle was hysterical as she ran up and down the beach saying one minute. She'd go into the water and then run up the beach again saying back in one minute. It cracked Grandpa and myself up!

Cape Cod Children's Museum

How could we pass up going to a place that had a pirate ship? And fun shore themed art work to make. And best of all the submarine they could play in. They loved saying Dive, Dive, Dive!!

Cuteness

can you hear the ocean too?
