Smith Family Reunion

We met up with our friends, The Smith Family, for some beach fun as they now live in MA. A & I had a blast with their kids horsing around.

More Cape Fun

I think every night was spent partly on the beach. Either dinner on the beach or went to the beach before or after dinner, we just loved it. We flew a kite with the girls for the first time too. One night when we had dinner on the beach, a seagull stole Ava's sandwich and Isabelle started screaming at it for stealing her sister's sandwich...priceless. Ava really wants a skim (sp?) board for her next trip too as she thinks she is a surfer girl like the big kids.

Lobster

High Five's for Grandma all around for ordering a lobster!

Ava was obsessed with trying lobster. This should not surprise me since she is very adventurous all around, including with food. So the running joke was that she could when Grandpa P came up and bought dinner.....and she did! They shared a lobster which she liked. She also tried his oysters later that week, not a fan though. She at first said yes to him. I think to just please him. However her eyes told the true story that she hated it and she soon spit it out. Gotta love her for trying. I think Isabelle might have tried a little piece but she went on to the fries and icecream.

Professional Pics-Cape

We attempted to take some professional pics in Cape Cod. This was not an easy mission at all for the photographer. 3 kids ages 3 1/2 and under, sun glare on the beach, showing up and needing potty breaks (with no potty, ie-pee in sand), buggy night and Maddie spitting up made for a hard session for her. So our pictures are not great but heck they were free pics from a photographer starting out so I'll take it! Here are a few of the ones that came out ok.

Oh yeah, Isabelle and Ava got a ton of bug bites from horse flies and sand flies that we ended up in the Urgent Care the next day...not fun! DEET apparently in the Cape is needed.

Cape Cod 2011

We had a great time, as always, in the Cape this year. We headed up after the girls dance receital and spent almost a week there. There are just too many pics to post on the blog so I am making a separate book for our vacations, just like our birthday parties, but I had to post a few here for keepsake purposes. Of course also to share the good times we had :) We found some great beaches this trip, the MayFlower and First Encounter and spent most of our time there. Love it in the Cape!!

Dance Receital

How adorable are they going to their 1st dance receital. And yes, what a receital it will be....at Proctor's in Schenectady dancing to "I'll be your Friend."

Toother Update

So Maddie Moo has had 1 tooth that pushed through for about 2-3 weeks (so started at 7 1/2 months) and now tooth 2 is coming up. They are the bottom two front teeth making their debut. I would phtoograph it but she does not open wide enough to capture the bit of white you can actually see. In time we'll capture the new pearly whites!

The one other thing I NEED to catch for documentation purposes is how ticklish she is if you tickle underneath her chin (like her sisters) or the top of her chest.....yes.....all out GIGGLES! So cute!

We Heart Dad!

We celebrated Father's Day with Grandpa John while at Colin's birthday party on Saturday and got to enjoy Sunday with Grandpa Tony. We even had some birthday cake for Grandma Sally too! We hope daddy enjoyed playing golf in the am while in Syracuse and will enjoy his new Keruig coffee maker cause we know how much he loves both his coffee and golf :)
