The girls are really growing by leaps and bounds these days in so many ways. Not only are they 22 lbs each, they have had an explosion of words in the last 2 months. They seem to recite almost everything at times. I can't even count the number of words they know anymore. It is truly remarkable. We are working on our colors and I think Ava's favorite is brown and Isabelle is yellow. I know Ava's cause she always goes for the brown crayon first (even though mommy tries to hide it to make her pictures a little less drab). I know Isabelle's cause she seems to think everything is yellow at first. They are recognizing numbers and letters too.
Some cute things they have been doing over the last few months are:
-Bend their head to the side and close their eyes and snore when we ask where daddy is when he is missing from the room....hysterical!
-Ava definitely knows her sister is Belle. Funny thing is that she doesn't say Ava...she looks in the mirror and says she is Belle too. Do they think they look that alike?
-Belle is my musician as she can belt out a tune on the harmonica or flute or any other instrument we have in the house. Ava is our dancer. She likes to dance like a snowflake, walk like a penguin or hop like a bunny all over our house.
-They have both taken a strong interest in taking care of their new dolls but Ava still won't let go of her 1st doll and Isabelle hasn't parted with Mickey and Minnie since Disney. However, when it comes to going upstairs Isabelle will politely give you Mickey and Minnie to hold as she walks upstairs holding on to the banister. Ava will instead crawl up with dolly in hand.
-They both really love their pa. Grandpa that is. All we have to say is Pa is coming over and they light up.
They are just too cute for words and really make Dave and I smile!
