On Sunday around 4pm our power happened to come on while Dave and I were checking on the house and packing a bag for Sunday night. If you could have seen Dave's face when he heard the alarm buzzing signaling the power was back on. The smile was like a kid in a candy store. So we let the girls hang out and Grandma and Grandpa P's house till the house warmed up (it was 45 degrees on Sunday) and then we all finally got to relax again in our home!

IceStorm
So last Friday the Northeast got hit with a huge ice storm in which we lost power at about 3am on Friday morning. Dave and I thought at first we could manage toughing it out as the power hopefully would go on soon. About noon we realized we missed a hot shower and needed some warmth for the girls so we headed to the only house we knew that had power...Uncle Pete's! We crashed his bachelor pad and made it our home until Sunday. The funnier part though is the rest of the Pondillo clan also made it their home so we were quite packed. The girls had a blast with Michelson (Pete's dog). ..Ava especially as she got so excited when he came close. It was also very helpful to have so many extra hands to hold the girls. Here are a few pics from that adventure....gotta love the snowsuits on in your family room....do you see why Uncle Pete's shelter was a lifesaver.
