The girls had their 9 month check up finally (missed apt last week due to storm) so it is really almost a 10 month check up since they turn 10 months on the 28th. So once again my little bean Ava is the bigger child. She must really want to own her title of big sister. She is 16 1/2 lbs and 28 inches. Belle is 16 lbs and 27 1/2 inches (so 1/2 lbs and 1/2 inch off but pretty darn close if you ask me). The doctor reports all things look great and their blood work which is standard at 9 months is just fine. She is also impressed with where both are developmental with Ava being a little ahead of her age and Belle being right on target. The visit was perfect timing since I think we have our 1st cold. But the dr said it was only in the nose now and everywhere else seemed clear (thank god!) so just some extra TLC and time.
Both girls are really vocal now. Belle does more loud sounds to just make sound I think and make sure you pay attention to her. Ava instead does more of a babble as if she is holding an entire conversation with herself. She is big on saying dadda over and over. They are both in love with eating adult food. They usually crawl right over to have a piece of whatever I am eating. My dad says that he always feels bad eating his lunch in front of them cause they act like they want a piece and stare him down. They have tried my bagel and have had cookies and pizza a few times. They are also growing more and more interactive with each other which is just priceless. Ava is able to not only pull herself up on things but she can maneuver down the coach holding on and even lets go for a second to test her balance. Isabelle is almost there getting herself to pull up to standing (I just think most times she just doesn't care enough to get up there...she knows if she cries a little mommy will pick her up.)
