For Daddy's 33rd birthday, we all took a road trip to see our good friends Chris and Jen in Brooklyn. We ended up having a great time with them and can't wait to crash their place again in the spring or summer. They have a super cute and cozy place that the girls had a blast checking out. The best part I think was their coffee table since it was perfect height and a great shape for the girls to scoot around. Plus, Jen is so good with little ones that it was great to have all her help.

When we arrived we went to this neighborhood park that was real nice and then went to the zoo (all within walking distance...gotta love the city). The zoo turned out to be really nice. We got to see a lot of animals (even a red panda that grandma would have loved). The weather was pretty cold but the girls were troopers (at least on the walk there and during the zoo). However, on the way back the girls went through meltdown mode as the wind was just too much on them, both feeding off each other I'm sure. We tried to duck into a coffee shop to feed them and warm them up and that turned into a screaming match so we just opted on letting them scream all the way home. After about 15 minutes of meltdown back at the apartment (mommy worried) and a little food and heat they were thankfully back to themselves. As Jen coined it, it was the perfect storm...cold, hungry and tired! Lesson learned....opt to schedules mommy . Anyways, here are a few shots of the fun trip. Thanks again to Jen and Chris for being such great hosts. You guys are the best and this weekend proved you are going to be great parents yourselves one day.
