Go, Go, Go...

Go, Go, Go was the motto of today. We sure packed a lot into the start of our 4 day weekend and made the most of daddy having the day off! We started with our regular Friday class at Tiny Tots Tea Room. Today was extra special since they got to meet their girlfriend Anna there.

A little art time for Anna and Belle

Ava preferred the pasta pit and of course playing in the bounce pit.

Then after the class, we got some lunch at the Country Drive-In before checking out a new park which Grandma Kees told us about that had a train to play on.

Even thought the park was small, this slide was great since the girls could do it all by themselves.
The middle of the train was a tunnel which of course the girls raced to go in. Who do you think won?
Ava...but....

then Ava was off on to the caboose and Belle got to enjoy it all by herself.
Caboose.

And all of this was before afternoon naps. So after naps, we took the girls out to dinner at Ravenswood. They were so good sitting at the table that the waiter even suggested some icecream for them. So after icecream, we took a quick stop at the Shen campus.

Ava kept walking to the big slide and since it was enclosed it was hard for us to go down with her so I had an idea to let her try going solo. As you can see from the picture, I was thinking if she laid back it would be safer....or maybe it just made her more aerodynamic and gained her speed cause she flew down to daddy's arms at the bottom. Oh, boy did she love it though. We tried next with Belle....she was not happy with how fast she went. Realized that once was enough and it wasn't the best idea. However, as Dave was sending Belle down to me, Ava had apparently started climbing up the steps of the slide again because when Dave turned around, only seconds from seeing her on the ground, she was 2 steps from the top. That was our oh sh*t moment. Dave luckily grabbed her and that was enough of the slide area. We are so lucky cause that could have been BAD if she fell off the steps from the top. We still can't believe she got up there so quick and all by herself.

It was a great day!
